PB2 is a Colorado Public Benefit Corporation built on the belief that climate literacy should be interactive. We bridge data, storytelling, and behavioral science to help people understand how their choices ripple through the world around them.
Our mission is to promote climate awareness, education, and activism for the benefit of communities and the environment—while proving that responsible innovation can also be sustainable and profitable.

We’ve built two connected experiences:
- The PB2 App — a personal dashboard that translates climate data into local insights, action plans, and rewards.
- Climate Collapse — an immersive strategy game where players make high-stakes decisions that mirror real-world dynamics.
Together they close the gap between knowledge and action: what you do in life improves your gameplay, and what you learn in the game helps you make better real-world choices.

Every action—online or offline—feeds your PB2 Score, a simple way to see how your lifestyle, habits, and upgrades add up.
The Score blends environmental data, economic outcomes, and behavioral signals into one visual metric that tracks your progress from household to community scale.

When I first played Climate Collapse, I treated it like any other strategy game—balancing resources, reacting to crises, and trying to keep my virtual city alive. Then I realized the scenarios mirrored my own life. The same upgrades that stabilized my in-game world—better insulation, energy efficiency, smarter water use—were the ones I’d been putting off at home. Seeing the impact play out in real time made the numbers personal. Within weeks, I’d booked a home energy audit and started my first PB2 challenge.
Across classrooms and community programs, PB2 is helping people learn by doing. Educators and organizers use the app to turn everyday sustainability goals into friendly competition—tracking actions, unlocking rewards, and comparing progress through shared dashboards. The Climate Collapse game extends that experience into a simulated world, where strategy and teamwork reveal how individual choices connect to collective outcomes.
Carbon numbers tell part of the story, but resilience tells the whole one. The PB2 Score goes beyond emissions to capture preparedness, cost savings, and community strength. Users see how reducing energy use, upgrading infrastructure, or joining local initiatives improves their overall stability. It’s not about guilt—it’s about growth. Measuring resilience shifts the conversation from sacrifice to strategy, helping people see climate action as an investment in their own future.
